'The sound of north' is the artistic expression of this cool but highly explosive jazz trumpeter from Finland.

He is one of the leading Jazz trumpet players in Finland. He is also very talented composer, "an individual" who get's his music to sound right on a big stage as well as in the underground.

MikaM has a steady international carrier. He has lived in many countrys and played all over the world as a soloist, band leader or as a side man.

He has played and recorded with US3 (UK/USA) and with the Ed Jones Quintet (UK), conducted his string works and musical plays, toured with rock-, jazz- and big bands.. among other things (like beeing a father for 3 kids..).
